Spiritual Direction
“The whole purpose of spiritual direction is to penetrate beneath the surface of a person’s life, to get behind the façade of conventional gestures and attitudes which he or she presents to the world, and to bring out their inner spiritual freedom, their inmost truth which is what we call the likeness of Christ in his soul.“
Thomas Merton
Listening to God Together.
“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. ”
Philippians 4:6-8

What is Spiritual Direction?
For centuries, the ministry of spiritual direction has offered Christians a sacred space for guidance and deepening their relationship with God. It is a companionship of intentional, prayerful listening—an opportunity to attune to God’s presence in a world filled with noise and distraction. In the midst of our hurried lives, spiritual direction provides an unhurried, uninterrupted space to focus on the care of the soul. It is an invitation to step away from the clamor of daily life and return to God with our whole heart.
Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
Jeremiah 6:16
“There is a deep and natural craving in the human heart that can be satisfied nowhere except in God.”
Wisdom of the Sadhu
